Our Mustang Marathon begins on October 23, 2018. Students participate by completing laps around the playground. Parent volunteers help students track their laps that add up to miles! At the end of the marathon season, we will recognize those students who complete the marathon (26.2 miles = 105 laps) at the closing assembly. Encourage your child to put their running shoes on and come join the fun!
On Wednesday, October 31, we will have our annual Alice Byrne Halloween Parade at 2:00 p.m. We will begin in the courtyard and walk toward the front entrance of our school. We will then walk around the outside of the playground and then up to 16th Street. Parents, please feel free to join the parade or position yourselves around the parade route. Students may bring their costumes in a bag to change into before the parade begins.
We serve breakfast for free to all students from 8:00–8:30 a.m. The front gate opens at 8:00 a.m. and at this time, all students must go to the cafeteria whether they eat breakfast or not. We require this, as there is no teacher on duty until 8:20 a.m. The first bell rings at 8:40 a.m. and dismissal is at 3:40 p.m. On Mondays, dismissal is at 2:10. Please make sure you pick your child up on time. Thank you!
Our Right at School program is a place for students to complete their homework and have fun activities to participate in after school. There are discounts available for tuition. Parents, if you would like more information on this program, you can go online or call Silvia at (928) 294.9596.
We are very excited about having new iPad technology in our classrooms, and we hope you are too! We are going to be working with the iPads every day in class, and we have some guidelines for students who do not bring their iPads to school each day. We do not want them to get behind, and if they do not have a fully charged iPad every day, they will lose out on valuable lessons. Please view our iPad warning notice for information about our expectations.
